Born with salt in her veins, Pam’s passion was sparked by her father, who taught her that sailing is the perfect blend of adventure, competition, freedom, and pushing your own limits. From mastering dinghies on Irish lakes to racing professionally around the globe, her journey brought her to Brittany, the epicentre of offshore racing, to chase her ultimate dream: skippering her own high-performance campaign.

Ambitious and fiercely driven, Pam stormed onto the scene in 2020 by setting three world records sailing around Ireland: doublehanded, with an all-female crew, and on a yacht under 12m. She hasn’t looked back since.

In 2022, she launched Ripple Racing — her own company dedicated to running unique offshore racing projects built on integrity and powerful storytelling. And she’s just getting started: in 2025, Pam launched #EmpowHer, a ground breaking campaign to become the first Irish sailor ever to take on the legendary Route du Rhum: one of the toughest solo transatlantic races in the world.

With a thirst for performance, she’s been honing her craft since 2013, racing solo and alongside some of the sport’s top mixed crews and her upward trajectory shows no signs of slowing down.

Off the water, Pam is a passionate advocate for increasing female participation in sport, starting with offshore sailing. Through her projects, she aims to inspire, motivate, and create real opportunities and recognition for women in competitive sport, proving by example that the horizon is only the beginning.
